
- Since 2005, when Richard Corrigan helped launch this competition, almost 800 secondary school students have participated in this challenging competition, representing nearly 40 schools from counties Cavan, Dublin, Donegal, Fermanagh, Kildare, Longford, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly and Westmeath.
- Well-known chefs and entrepreneurs connected with the Food Industry have supported the event and given great encouragement and inspiration to students.
- The Senior winners have travelled to London each year, dined in high-class restaurants such as Lindsay House in Soho (owned by Richard Corrigan) and Fifteen Restaurant in Shoreditch (Jamie Oliver), as well as visiting tourist highlights of the city.


- Junior Section winners have received prizes of meals in high-class Irish restaurants and hotels ( Chapter One , Station House, Knightsbrook & Newgrange Hotels, Bentley's, Shanahan's on the Green, and work experience in places such as Roly's Bistro thanks to Chef Colin O'Daly.
